Meat Birthday Cake

Lucky! All I got was socks.

My spork nerd girl buddy Michelle, of Domesticity Nouveau, shares this miraculous meat marvel,  complete with with roasted cauliflower and carrot frosting, white cheddar shreds, and heart shaped eggs.

You’re welcome.

You know someone loves you when your Birthday is punctuated with a cake. But not just any cake. We’re not talking about a cake from the store, covered in frosting spackle so sweet, your teeth fell out looking at it.

We’re talking about a cake made with meat. That’s right. I said meat. As in meat cake. It’s like a raw make out session on a platter festooned with cute egg hearts. It’s like Hello Kitty meets Tracy Lords food porn. It’s like… well… sin, one delicious meaty forkful at a time. And if loving this is so wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

I'm positive this cake is definitely at least as heavy as a pound cake, but light on the soul.

Back in 2008, my sister made a meatloaf cake for our Halloween Party. It was beautiful. It won the Best Potluck prize AND it was delicious!
