I am usually a grab and go girl. The quicker breakfast can be for me, the better. Eggs become dull, and I like to drink something cold to help wake me up (probably residual Diet Coke habit). This recipe has been a hit at my house, and on those crazy mornings, the kids swipe mine, gulp and go.
This is not an induction-friendly recipe, but it’s fantastic.
Creamy Strawberry Smoothie
1/2 cup water
1 cup ice
1 scoop strawberry protein powder (I use Jay Robb)
1 splash cream (about 2 Tbsp)
Blend water and ice. Add egg, powder and strawberries. Blend. Add splash of cream. Blend. Serve cold.
*If you’re concerned about salmonella from the raw egg, purchase pasteurized eggs, or use something akin to this method.
