Oct. 8 Menu and Events (Day 42)

Hi hi! How are you sparkly legwarmers doing today?

This weekend we bought an out-of-production Ikea Frederick desk as a second possible treadmill desk for my husband. He keeps wanting to amp up my desk and I like my one monitor and lowered ambitions for desktop publishing. In fact, I love how clean and simple my desk really is. I totally support him having his own desk just as soon as we figure out where in the heck we have room to place it!

For now, I am really happy sharing space and keeping at least this workspace Hello Kitty free (sigh)…

I went to TOPS today to drop off my shoes and step on the scale.

Ready for this?

My loss for this week:  3.25 pounds

My losses for the last 6 weeks: 22.75 pounds

Total for all of our friends so far in this Mid-Year Resolution Challenge: 944.05 pounds!

Now what I had yesterday… First of all, here’s the plan I’m following and here is the introduction post to the Mid-Year Resolution Challenge. While you look at what I’m doing, be sure to do your thing. I am thrilled to give some ideas, but I’m not the person you should necessarily look to for dieting advice (I’m not a paid nosh-a-titian). I am, however, here with you to cheer you on when you’re so skinny you will have to watch slipping through the cushions of your couch.

Monday, October 7

I ate this:
Breakfast: Winkshake
Lunch: Huge steak chipless nachos from a local Mexican food establishment
Dinner: So full that thinking of food makes me shake my no-no finger.

Exercise: 2 hours at my treadmill desk at 1 mph.

Notes: I had my first phone call while walking on my treadmill desk. I probably should have placed myself on speakerphone. It’s hard work holding a phone to my ear and walking at the same time, but it’s further proof that I can work at a desk and walk at the same time.

What I learned:

It’s ok to eat one terrifically big meal per day.

I typically don’t eat prior to weighing in at TOPS, and some days I’m just not hungry.

Take today, for instance. My first meal of the day as at 2:30 pm, and it was a huge platter of chipless nachos with chopped steak and the whole shebang. I’m sure the whole thing set me back roughly 1500 calories, too–and that’s fine. Bring it!

I am still so full at almost 10 pm tonight, I am not going to even think food until tomorrow morning.
