Nov. 6-7 Menu and Events (Day 72-73)

Hello and Happy “No More Political Calls” Day!

If you live in a political swing state, you, too, are doing the end zone dance of pure happiness.

No longer will my telephone ring with questions about my voting habits, my age, my sex, my occupation and my thoughts on the issues.

No more shall I receive hundreds of pounds of recycled waste in my mail boxes.

No more will my joyous moments of Jeopardy be punctuated with ads calling opposing candidates Patootie Head Pickle Farty Faces.

I am free my friends. Free.

Want to see a picture of my puppy and cat?

See that? That is rest. That is solace. That is the kind of peace that comes with not being harassed by polling groups, Rasmussen polls, and the media.

In the next election, I plan to curl up on the back of the sofa and be unaffected, too. I might even shed a little and look unconcerned. Just because.

Now to how I’ve been doing with our Mid-Year Challenge!… First of all, here’s the plan I’m following and here is the introduction post to the Mid-Year Resolution Challenge. While you look at what I’m doing, be sure to do your thing. I am thrilled to give some ideas, but I’m not the person you should necessarily look to for dieting advice (I’m not a paid nosh-a-titian). I am, however, here with you to cheer you on when you’re so skinny you will have to watch slipping through the cushions of your couch.

Be sure to subscribe for updates by adding your email right (in the sidebar) or through Feedburner in the title bar up top!

You can also click the tab up top that says Mid-Year Resolution for the daily play-by-play and to see what I’m doing. Whee!

Tuesday, November 6

I ate this:
Breakfast: Nothing. I had such a huge meal last night, I wasn’t hungry.
Lunch: Skipped
Dinner: Toppings from a pizza from a local pizza place we used to frequent more (before I decided to stop eating a lot of bread)

Exercise:
None. Except for exercising my right to vote. Pun winning!

Notes: I found out I don’t even like the pizza without the crust–which doesn’t say much for the toppings. It showed me that my perceptions of what I thought I liked are very different once I really try them without the bread. Without the bread, this was a little schlurp of sauce and a sad scattering of wilty green peppers and some pepperoni that Mr. T would pity.

Wednesday, November 7

I ate this:
Breakfast: Caramel Apple Cheesecake (coming Monday)
Lunch: My munchie tray: green olives, mixed nuts, cheese and salami + 2 potato chips (yes, I counted)
Dinner: A simple berry cheesecake (recipe coming soon) + A tiny slice of the caramel apple cheesecake *sigh*

Exercise: None. I have been so bad this week! I need to conquer and take back my treadmill desk. It has been overtaken by my adorable hubby.

Notes: I froze the rest of the cheesecake in slices. I feel like I have totally dairy-ied out/sweeted out  today. I had way too much cheesecake. Blarg. It goes to show, one can even kind of do it a little too too

What I learned:

I can stick through a party and behave myself. We went to our friends’ house for an election party. I left with all sorts of yummies, and didn’t eat a thing while there! Why? I ate before I left and I wasn’t hungry. So I didn’t eat. I feel so empowered!

I feel so light on my feet!

I overcame mindless party eating–especially during a nail-biting election!

I feel like I am super snazzy right about now. You know what? You are snazzy, too.
