Bacon man?

Weird things made of bacon are cropping up all over the ‘net. I don’t know if it is because bacon is the manna of the gods, or because it’s just a weird thing to use for making bad effigies, but check this out.

Bacon Man

It looks a little like the Wicker Man, doesn’t it?

As much as I’m a fan of pig products formed into bad Druid artifacts, I don’t know if I could shake the bad Nicholas Cage rendition from my head.

    Or of this?

    (Sorry, I’m not clever enough to make a link.)

  2. Ok Jaime, you are starting to scare me now! LOL Bacon Man…Hehehe Yes he does resemble Wicker man, a fairly disturbing movie. I actually watched it all the way through.

  3. eww Wicker Man, he does look frighteningly similar. And what a truly awful movie. It was creepy for all the wrong reasons. Now how do I get it and this out of my head?

    Bacon Man was created in the likes of Burning Man. Check out the website;
    It’s an annual festival of art and music where over 40,000 people gather and build a city in the desert of Nevada and celebrate for a week around Labor Day. On the last night they burn the man. Bacon is a favorite food and fire is a big part of the art, music and performances.

    I know all this because my daughter helps to build the city each year as well as “the man.” She also performs spectacular fiery acts.

  5. Check this out…..this guy, a writer (I think) for Mystery Science Theatre, is eating nothing but bacon for the entire month of February. Is it possible to get tired of it? 🙂

  6. I know. I haven’t heard so much about bacon ever. First there was the NYT article about the bacon/sausage roll then the man who eats only bacon, then bacon cupcakes. What gives?
