Because the best part of waking up is Hello Bacon on your cup. Am I right?
Well, better yet would be having it IN my cup, but I don’t typically sip crunchy drinks.
Can you believe I haven’t weighed in two weeks officially? I totally killed my back last week, so I didn’t make it to TOPS. That means I’ve been having to behave myself for two weeks without any accountability to the scale!
So how did I do?
I am so so excited to report that I have lost: 9 pounds!
Total lost for me: 83 pounds!
Total for all of our friends so far in our Valentine’s Day Take it Off Challenge (link): 782.47 pounds!
Total for all of our friends losing altogether? 7510.92 pounds!
I’m so excited I just spilled my drink.
Weigh to go, everyone! Seriously. I am so excited. You have no idea how much you motivate me, and I hope you all know how much you’re motivating others, too! It also goes to show that little changes make such a big difference!
Now on to how I’ve been doing with my weight loss and continued sussing out of foods to which I’m intolerant or allergic to… Be sure to do your thing. I am thrilled share my progress and thoughts, but I’m not the person you should necessarily look to for dieting advice (I’m not a paid nosh-a-titian). I ate this:
Breakfast: Skipped because I went to TOPS
Lunch: Taco Star 1/2 of their Super Nachos with chips (about 900 calories and 20 carbs, guessing)
Dinner:I licked a bit of Peep. No, really. OK. I chewed. That sounds dirty, doesn’t it?
Notes: It is so weird how some days I can devour an entire order of Taco Star Nachos and some days I have to share. Does your hunger vary a lot, too?
What I learned:
I missed TOPS!
I didn’t get to weigh in last week because of my stoopid back, so I was so pleased to be able to go in with a loss and have everyone cheering for me. It really is such a fun experience having everyone really and truly happy for your successes.
Sometimes I wish I could be there, alongside you, cheering for you, too!
We would have a lot of fun.
And maybe get arrested.
But that’s neither here nor there.
Jean says
Good progress lady. I made the oopsies the other day. Big flop. Oh well. another day.
Jamie VanEaton says
When the oopsies oops, they still make amazing French toast, stuffing, pizza crusts, you name it! You can still use them.
Jean says
OK I’ll remember that they can be used another way. Thanks for the answer and I’m happy you ‘ve
lost so much weight. Good luck lady.
bevvbevv says
Your continued success is awesome and inspiring (esp with the occasional peep thrown in). Hurrah for consistency!
Jamie VanEaton says
I swear, it was less than a tsp of Peep. A Peepspoon?
I am a major taster. I try not to eat the whole thing. My hips would never forgive me.
bevvbevv says
Me too!!!! Samples at the super market kill me. Esp when they are sushi. Thankfully, the cheese aisle is usually calling my name pretty loudly, and it’s hard to contemplate sushi with a mouth full of cheddar
Mrs. T says
Congrats!! I’ve lost almost 20lbs since the 2nd of this month. I loose fast the first few weeks on Atkins, and then it levels out, but I’m still loosing. Made cream puffs out of the oopsie rolls the other day, took a couple to work…lol, Now I’ve got to make FIFTY of them for our next potluck! LC and lovin’ it.
Jamie VanEaton says
You are doing so well! 20 pounds. Woohoo!
Ha ha! Really? You’re making 50?!
Mrs. T says
Yes, thankfully I’ve got a couple weeks to prefect my oopsie technique!
bevvbevv says
That sounds scrumptious!
Gladys says
Wow! An inspiration!
You rock, Jamie!
Congrats!
Glad
Jamie VanEaton says
Thanks so much, Gladys!
Pamela says
I’m so happy for your loss! That’s just phenomenally fantastic! You spoke of figuring out your allergies…I’ve been tweaking for months. First it was all grains. Then I noticed that some nut flours caused intestinal irritation. But once I dropped dairy, the pounds started dropping. Your website is always encouraging, inspirational and educational! Keep up the good works!
Jamie VanEaton says
Hi, Pamela. Thank you so much! Per the allergy testing, I am so proud of you for doing it. I know it’s hard work. Today I’m testing nuts. I was congested earlier, but not enough to make me think it is a nut issue. We’ll see. Later when I’m hungry I’ll try some more and see if I’m congested.

Thank you! I have lost 5 dress sizes, too.

Awesome weight loss!!

Thank you!
Robert M. says
83 pounds… WOW! Be careful, Jamie, I’m starting to worry that you might disappear!
Jamie VanEaton says
If I shriveled away to nothingness, my mouth would still be talking. I’d be like one of those Howler Letters from Harry Potter.
Nora Byers Haenggi says
First of all: Congrats Jamie cleochatra VanEaton
Secondly: OH MY GOODNESS how/where do I purchase a hello bacon mug?
Jamie VanEaton says
Hey hey! Thank you so much!
Secondly, you can’t. I had these made personally. They’re not for sale. Sanrio wouldn’t love me much for that. I wish they could be made available, but at least I can share the pictures because I love Hello Kitty, too.
Dana says
Way to go Jamie! Just curious, what is your beverage of choice each day? I know some swear off diet soda, some people only drink water. I need something with flavor!
I don’t think I like Peeps. Maybe I should try one to know for sure!
Jamie VanEaton says
Hi, Dana! I am an admitted Diet Coke drinker. Yes, I know it’s not the healthy choice, but tough noogies. It doesn’t stall me, I love it, and I’m not kicking it until I’m good and ready. I also enjoy Zevia and iced tea.
Dana says
Thanks for the response. I’m a diet pepsi, diet coke, diet anything and unsweetened iced tea person! The cost of Zevia has kept me from trying it.
Ida says
Hi. Do you have a before and after pic? GREAT JOB!
Jamie VanEaton says
Ermagerd, no. I have some before, and a few durings. When I get to goal you’ll definitely see after! The one on my “about” page is during.
thepoopedmommy says
Wow! Impressive loss…I am jealous! I just started about 3 weeks ago & have lost 10 lbs total, which is frustrating! Usually about 2 lbs a week. I have been REALLY good & even started exercising (which I normally hate). Looking at your food journals, I’m wondering if I’m eating too many cals? I’m always in the 20/30 net carb range, I am in ketosis (according to keto strips), thought it would be coming off faster! But a huge congrats to you – you are SERIOUSLY a great inspiration!
Jamie VanEaton says
Thank you! I have to wonder if upping my carbs once a week is hat keeps things moving. I remember doing a strict induction some time ago and not losing nearly as much as I’m losing now with the higher-carb meal once per week. I wonder if my body became just too complacent at the same levels all the time.
Karen perkins says
83 pounds!! That is amazing! How much more would you like to lose, if you don’t mind my asking? I’m down 36 and looking to lose another 20 ( hopefully!
Jamie VanEaton says
I have plenty more to go! I know you’ll definitely get to your goal before I get to mine. When you get there, keep kicking me in the butt so I’ll get there, too!
LynnMarie says
Well done, Would love to see a Before/After photo of you.
Jamie VanEaton says
You bet! As soon as I hot goal, you’ll ask me to stop posting pictures!
Ivonne says
Congrats on the 9 pound loss!!! That is amazing! Inspire on! 😉
Jamie VanEaton says
Thank you!
