I am not usually a seafood fan, let alone a fan of canned tuna. For one, leaky, smelly tuna juice isn’t appealing, it stinks up my kitchen, and it typically leaks everywhere.
Thankfully, Chicken of the Sea No-Drain Tuna is all the meat and none of the mess.
In short, you get a can filled with solid, flaky meat and not the mushy, unappetizing mess that you might be accustomed to from some of the canned tunas you’ve tried.

Solid, steak-like tuna is in every can, which also offers an easy-to-open, convenient lid. Best Tuna Salad
Finish by sprinkling with paprika to lend color and a bit of earthiness to the mildly, sweet flavor of the salad.
1 4-ounce can Chicken of the Sea No-Drain Solid Tuna
1 chopped hard-boiled egg
1 chopped stalk of celery (not the entire bunch)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar-free sweet relish
ground black pepper and salt, to taste
Combine all ingredients except for paprika well. (You can choose to process the ingredients together for more of a pâté, as pictured). Chill salad until serving.
Optional: Serve on stalks of celery or on cucumber slices and sprinkle with paprika.
Makes roughly 2 cups of tuna salad.

The final word: All in all, I typically refuse tuna unless it’s in steak form (I am finicky), but I really, truly liked this tuna so much, I’ll actively seek this flaky, fabulous fish for its convenience, flavor, and healthy benefits. I give this one a rare 5 out of 5 stars.

Interesting. I gather this product does not contain soy, which one sees in many cans of tuna now. BUT I have questions. How was this tuna caught? Where was it caught and packed? I also note that this can holds even less tuna than the already down-sized cans do. (Or should I be comparing this to packets? I don’t know how much the packets hold.) I’d like to be able to have two nonscrimpy servings from one can of tuna. I guess you accomplish that by adding egg, but my approach to tuna doesn’t involve egg.

Per the can, you’re looking at all meat and no liquids, so it’s a goodly amount of product in my experience. It’s like they shoved tuna steak into the can, not some mushy fish and liquids…

I love egg in my tuna salad. Also tuna and egg back in the days when I ate macaroni salad. I have been looking for this but cant find it in any of the stores? Has anyone found it in their local markets?

I mash with a fork a boiled egg, add a tblsp of mayonnaise, more if needed, a couple tsp of pickle relish, a dash of yellow mustard and a small can of drained tuna. I use this mixture for sandwiches. Now I won’t have the mess of draining ..

How do you use the tuna with lemon pepper . Is it lemon tasting or not?

I accidentally grabbed the lemon pepper and was very unhappy with the taste. It does not work well in my tuna salad because all you taste is lemon. I will go back to using tuna packed in water so I don’t make that mistake again and because the price is too high.
