Since this is “Jamie loves Sonic” week, here is my version of their amazing coney dogs.
Why not the leftover chili and the cheese sauce from the tots, and make this, too? This recipe is seriously so beefy and fantastic you won’t even miss the bun. And if you need the live in car hop to deliver these on roller skates, make sure you send me pictures. I can’t wait to see that.
To make your own, simply:
Place a cooked frankfurter on a plate. Lavish with chili, melted cheese sauce, and then onion. Add dill relish (you can make or buy dill relish, but check the labels) and sauerkraut on the side. Perfect with mock potato salad and deviled eggs.
I can’t wait to try this for my hubby. He’s a coney dog lover – and we are going to try to be carb conscience this month.
