And if your holiday consists of paying taxes, happy that, too.
I know I spent yesterday steeped in a pile of papers that shows me why bookkeeping has just become my new best friend. Today, I am licking guacamole dip from my finger and enjoying the relative peace of tax season handled and a new spreadsheet to keep me out of trouble next year. I swear I have a hoarder shoebox of receipts.
Anyone else out there still working on your taxes? Make sure you give yourself time to get those papers handled. If you’re not organized, start a spreadsheet now for 2012 deductions and expenses. You won’t regret it.
Easter is tomorrow.
Remember to be good to yourself and don’t abuse your body with sugar. You’re my sweet bunnies and I don’t want anything to happen to you ever. I picture all of us someday sitting on the front porch in our rocking chairs….just before we head out to go rappelling down the side of a mountain. And that’s just in our 80’s! Maybe we’ll slow down as we hit the nonagenarian decade. Then we can ding dong ditch the other elderly people and Parkour our way back.
More sunshine.
Longer days mean more opportunities to get out there for some walks and sunshine. Make sure to get out there and stretch those limbs! You don’t have to go crazy to get some fitness. Pull a few weeds. Hug a tree. Do the Dougie in the backyard.
Most of all, celebrate life by looking up to the sky, throwing your arms open and embracing the moon, stars, sun and the bird swooping dangerously close for a hug. Nevermind. Run! RUN!
Rather than a spreadsheet, I had rather use Quicken. It takes a little more work at first, but dovetails with Turbotax perfectly. Or makes reports for the tax preparer if you use one.
Hi there! You are so right. I should switch to Quicken. It’s better than the shoebox approach I used this last year.
Thank you ~ we haven’t even started the tax thing yet. And by we I mean hubby because it’s his job (his words, not mine) to get it done.
Mine won’t let me touch the taxes. lol! The last time I tried to do the taxes, we owed $11,000 because I forgot to add the deductions (our kids)… Thankfully he checked, but since then, I’m the gatherer and he’s the tax hunter. 😀

That’s my plan as well!!!! We will keep on moving, yeah!!!!!
Preach!
