First of all, I want to apologize for the “Hiding Vegetables” post that appeared briefly on this site and then disappeared this morning. It was a misfire, and will be back in about a week.
Now to the review:
Chocolate, chia, and fiber. Strawberry, chia and fiber. Vanilla, chia and fiber. Regardless the combination or flavor profile, these ingredients merge together for a tremendously refreshing and filling 0 net carbohydrate smoothie that will fill you up and keep you going for hours. I present the LC Foods Corporation Smoothie Mixes.
The ingredients are barely there for those smoothie mixes: Whey protein isolate, White milled chia seed (Salvia Hispanica L.), dutch cocoa powder, Inulin (chicory root) fiber, organic stevia extract, natural luo han guo monk fruit extract, natural flavoring, natural vegetable & tree gums, salt.
Just add 1/4 cup of the mix (roughly one-tenth of the package) to ice, water and 3 tablespoons of heavy white cream for an unbelievable banana beverage with the staying power of fiber.
Banana smoothie

I reviewed here first. Banana Smoothie Review I am such a fan (and I’m picky) of the believable banana-ness of the beverage and cost (about a dollar per serving), that I was enthusiastic about sampling the other flavors.
Strawberry smoothie
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
This smoothie is spot on. Following on the heels of the banana, I had high expectations, and this berry delicious drink didn’t disappoint. Without tell-tale red food coloring usually used to trick people into believing the strawberry of a drink, I am left with a fresh-tasting, filling meal replacement worth about 0 net carbs. And isn’t that worth it?
Chocolate smoothie

There’s always something a little off for me about the chocolate products through the company (I know I’m in the minority here). I’m not sure if it’s added sweetener to offset the cocoa powder (to prevent bitterness) or the cocoa itself. As a super-taster, I am sensitive to chocolate flavors, and this isn’t my favorite of the smoothie flavors. I will say the deep, rich color is definitely beautiful, and aside from the slightly different taste, it’s pretty wonderful in terms of body and flavor.
Vanilla smoothie

is a fantastic, basic addition to any kitchen cupboard if you like to add your own flavorings or fruits to your smoothies. Smooth and rich, this beverage is a welcome base as a meal replacement, and has a pleasant flavor that isn’t too bland or overly-vanilla.
Based on my positive experience with the banana smoothie mix, I had high hopes for the rest of these flavors, and Glen delivered. What I enjoyed was a wonderful surprise in the form of a thick, filling, fiber-filled beverage with no carbohydrates (8 total carbohydrates, 8 grams of fiber, equaling 0 for the net carbohydrate count).
Is the cost a little high at one dollar per serving? I don’t think so. Consider expensive egg white protein powders at more than $2 a serving, or any smoothie at a local coffee or smoothie joint (often $4 or more), and add that these crowd pleasers not only taste like a true banana milkshake, they’re also reasonably priced and easy to make in your kitchen.
You’re not going to have to fight yourself to drink these; in fact, I think it’s fair to say that the kids might even steal sips while you’re not looking. I know I don’t have any trouble selling these protein shakes to even picky kids.

I just got the chocolate and I like it. I just mix it with ice and unsweetened almond milk, which only has 1 carb per 8OZ and a splash of heavy cream to make it a little richer. I do mix it in my ninja and not my shaker bottle. I’ve not used it in the shaker because I wanted the ice crushed in it and not just floating on top.
I love my Ninja! That’s how I make my smoothies, too.
Really good reviews on the smoothies. That helps, the reviews on products are not always helpful IF there are any. Also, Funny that you HID THE VEGGIES!!! The thought crossed my mind that it was a mistake. Thank you again, love your blog. Patty
They sound wonderful but unfortunately a bit too expensive for my budget.
They are spendy if you’re not used to spending a lot on protein powders. I tend to buy Jay Robb, so these are a good deal.
