Today I weigh in. I am going to admit right now that I’ve been no Saint. I’ve probably been a little more ‘ain’t’.
I say, “So be it.” It happens. I did largely manage to refrain from soy, and I didn’t have any wheat to tell of, so I’m happy enough. I did have some popcorn, a bit of granola, and some Nut Thins to excess, a Peep, some soup, and then some plantain chips. Aside from the inflammation I’m dealing with today, I can’t complain.
That said, I’m back in the trenches putting my nitty together with my gritty!
So how did I do?
Yeah, well, I’m up this week (no surprise), but I know it’ll come off again.
Total lost for me: 83 pounds!
Total for all of our friends so far in our Valentine’s Day Take it Off Challenge (link): 942.98 pounds!
Total for all of our friends losing altogether? 7216.42 pounds!
I am pretty thrilled at how well everyone is doing. We have 2 weeks left in the challenge, so keep up the efforts. Wew wew!
Now on to how I’ve been doing with my weight loss and continued sussing out of foods to which I’m intolerant or allergic to… Be sure to do your thing. I am thrilled share my progress and thoughts, but I’m not the person you should necessarily look to for dieting advice (I’m not a paid nosh-a-titian). Monday, February 4
I ate this:
Breakfast: Pistachios
Late Lunch: Taco Star with the chips (woo woo!) (It’s huge, so I typically skip dinner)
Late Snack: Carbmaster Cherry yogurt + watermelon seeds + pistachios
Notes: I had a slight gain today, but so what. It happens. I embrace my imperfection. Here is to a great week!
What I learned:
I am so sleepy today.
I find that when I’m tired I don’t do as good a job as I should on projects. Taking a break to sleep, medicate or just read/watch TV might mean initial, limited productivity, but it means I’ll get more done after resting because my brain had a chance to rest.
Watermelon seeds? Say it ain’t so! Do elaborate please.
You ate watermelon seed? For real? Ive never heard of that. How were they?
They are tremendous! Check them out: Good Sense Watermelon Kernels. https://www.amazon.com/Good-Sense-Watermelon-Kernels-Roasted/dp/B005DYON8I
(that is not an affiliate link. It’s just a link to amazon for more info)
Great job shaking off a “off week” – we all have them!
Just so I’m clear – you EAT watermelon seeds? I never heard of that before. Also where do you find Carbmaster Cherry yogurt?
Sharon, I am going to review the watermelon seeds for you guys, but seriously? OMG.. They sell them roasted and in bgs, and they are SO good!
Sharon,
The Carbmaster Yogurt is at Kroger. It has more of a custard texture. the yogurt we have come to know from the grocery store is much thinner in consistency. But the Carbmaster flavors are all quite yummy, in my opinion, anyway!
I agree! The CARBMaster yogurt is the BEST! I love their new Key Lime Flavor. I’m also a fan of the tropical and any of the strawberry ones. 4 grams of net carbs.
I’m up again this week too. Yes I ate a bunch of crap Fri/Sat but I ran 11 miles Sunday. 11! Apparently I still ate more than I ran. Frustrating.
Tell me about the burger in the picture above! (salivating) Is there a recipe for the bread?
Hi! Yes! Here it is: https://yourlighterside.com/2009/05/gluten-free-low-carb-buns-aka-oopsie-rolls/
Thanks Girl!
Congrats on amaing weight loss! My kids took me to a store called “It’s Sugar” aka: gummy bear crack palace. They bought gummy bears, and I tried just a few ( gummy bears are my kryptonite). Was pleased that I did not devour an entire bag, which I used to do in a past life. They still have a bag of gummy frogs starring at me suductively, must look away…
Oops, I mean amazing weight loss. Bad typo.
