Hello everyone!
It is Tuesday, so I am going to begin posting how I’m doing the day I did it (I’d been posting the next day, but I always confuse myself). I think it’s easier, even though the posts go out later in the evening. You let me know what you think, though.
I am still full from last night’s dinner. That is… (math is so hard)… almost 17 hours ago? I had 1800 calories and 66 carbohydrates in one meal (A Red Robin gourmet cheeseburger and 2 sides of fries (hey, I own it)).
That’s a lot of food in one meal–for me, anyway (but remember, I only ate a small meal during the day before that, so for the day I only ended up at around 2,000ish calories and maybe 70 carbs).
I only eat when hungry and I don’t when I’m not, so who knows; maybe I’m settling into a pattern of unintended intermittent fasting. Maybe my ancestors from long ago in a nerd girl galaxy far away only relied on one meal per day, and so, too, that’s my modern-day nerd-girl tendency.
Nerd girl nerd girl nerd girllllllllllllllllll powahs!
OK, that’s enough spazzing from me. I over think everything. But you knew that. At least I think you do.
Now what I had yesterday… First of all, here’s the plan I’m following and here is the introduction post to the Mid-Year Resolution Challenge. While you look at what I’m doing, be sure to do your thing. I am thrilled to give some ideas, but I’m not the person you should necessarily look to for dieting advice (I’m not a paid nosh-a-titian). I am, however, here with you to cheer you on when you’re so skinny you will have to watch slipping through the cushions of your couch.
Be sure to subscribe for updates by adding your email right (in the sidebar) or through Feedburner in the title bar up top!
You can also click the tab up top that says Mid-Year Resolution for the daily play-by-play and to see what I’m doing. Whee!
Tuesday, October 16
I ate this:
Breakfast: Skipped. Huge meal last night for dinner.
Lunch: Cottage cheese + olives + sunflower seeds + shredded Parmesan
Dinner: Chopped Subway Spicy Italian Salad + Oil
What I learned:
I have amazing eyeballs and a freaky karmic sense of timing.
You know how my hubby keeps using my treadmill desk? And now how my son keeps using my treadmill desk?
I found an Ikea Jerker desk on craigslist AND an Ikea Fredrick desk on craigslist. I am planning two more treadmill desks for the mens with their mens things now. That makes three treadmill desks for the price of only $250ish dollars. ONE treadmill desk sold through amazon.com costs $475. I could score at least 2-3 more desks and have six for what one on amazon would cost me. I am really sad Ikea no longer makes the H-frame desks, but I am so happy to find them.
I love craigslist.
Relax. Who says you have to post every single day? Who says you have to be selling something all the time? Grab back control of your life and your blog.
Hi, Mary! I like to post everyday. It keeps me accountable and it ensures I don’t end up napping all week long. That and when I post daily, I’m at my treadmill desk working away, which is good for my slow-twitch muscles. I definitely take a couple of “me” days every now and then for sure. Thanks for being so understanding! I try not to be a perfectionist, but it’s a hard habit to overcome.
Jamie,
You keep me laughing and that’s a good thing. It’s a blessing to be helpful and lighthearted. From time to time, I eat Red Robins or Famous Dave’s and like you, I deserve it. Since I still have around 12 lbs. to lose (lost 17), I have to watch what I eat. I eat 3/4. C. of Cottage w/1/4 C. of Sunflower Seeds, t. Cinnamon and packet of Splenda. I love to cook, but I try to keep it simple and get enough protein, fiber and water. I’m about to work out for an hour with Jane Fonda (still have my 90’s stepper) and Chalene Johnson (Cardio Party) then head to work.
Enjoy your day!
Hi, Naomi! You are very kind. Though if I said I deserve to eat Red Robin, please ignore that. I deserve to be thin and healthy–and so do you!
I love keeping it simple though. In between cooking jags, I am noshing salads, beef, bacon, and finger food trays and typically working. Have a great day!
Jamie, you’re so about us being thin and healthy! Finger foods great and today
I bought some baby peppers to eat with my hummus. Yum!
Baby peppers and hummus sounds so yummy! I am all about wanting everyone to be their healthiest best. Thin or not, we’re all we’ve got–and we’re fabulous!
Ok i want one of these treadmill desks so bad.
They are so cool! They require a good six feet of space from front to back, and 50″ width from side to side if we’re talking a Jerker desk…
you didn’t say you deserve it you simply owned it that the difference I love and you are so funny and cute I think crazy at times people look at me like I am nut’s, but I don’t care I own it cause I am unique and special!!!!
And so are you.
I never know how I come across so I always like to clarify just in case. I don’t judge anyone else for their choices, but I always want to be sure mine are understood… You are the best, Doris!
