One of the things I love about LC-Blackberry Preserves is that there’s just not enough blackberry anything around– and preserves are no exception.
With its already borderline sweet/tart flavor, the sucralose sweetened preserves are about what one would expect from blackberries. While the lemon juice is overwhelming in the strawberry preserves, one knows where there are blackberries, tartness will follow like a tarty tart in tart leggings.
Again, like the strawberry preserves, the ingredients are simple: Blackberries, water, pectin, lemon juice, sucralose, preservatives (potassium sorbate, fumaric acid, calcium citrate, sodium
benzoate), maltodextrin.
Carb counts are minimal at only 1 net carb per Tbsp.
The only off-putting minutiae is probably the sucralose, which, to me, comes off as just barely the wrong sweet for such a deep, dark berry that should be nuzzled and not spanked on its rear end.Of the preserves I’ve tried so far, I definitely prefer this preserve most.

I agree, rich blackberries should never be spanked on their rear end… Thanks for all your great posts. I keep checking out the LC product website, drooling and plotting what to order… 😀
