Hello my little sweet nymph bunnies of love!
I worked all day today, so this will be supremely short.
Supremely short.
The end. OK. Almost the end.
Cue the credits. I hope tomorrow to have more to say. Right now I am so tapped out, which is super in a way. It’s better to be too busy than to not have anything to do.
My sweet baboo walked for hours on my treadmill at my desk today so I was like… and he was like… and he kissed me and told me he loves his new treadmill desk. Two can play at that game. Watch out, hubby bubster; you have awakened the mischievous wrath of the Jamienator!
Now what I had yesterday… First of all, here’s the plan I’m following and here is the introduction post to the Mid-Year Resolution Challenge. While you look at what I’m doing, be sure to do your thing. I am thrilled to give some ideas, but I’m not the person you should necessarily look to for dieting advice (I’m not a paid nosh-a-titian). I am, however, here with you to cheer you on when you’re so skinny you will have to watch slipping through the cushions of your couch.

Tues
day, September 18
I ate this:
Breakfast: None. I am still full from a huge, late dinner last night + Diet Coke
Lunch: Egg salad + baconnaise + pickle + chopped onion + iced tea
Snack: 1/3 cup mixed, salted nuts + iced tea
Dinner: Loaded chili dog with onions, cheese and chili + tater tots + Diet Coke
Notes: I should have made these tater tots instead of the ones I had at Sonic (regular potato and probably with wheat). I am going to make some chili and coleslaw and load up my own doggies tomorrow. I didn’t go over my carb allowances, and I made decisions I don’t really regret (I know what the carb count of Sonic tots are, so…). As always, I am totally honest with you because why not? I have PMS, and for me it was a few tater tots or someone risking a spork rammed up their nostril. It was a win-win. Besides, I’ll go beefier tomorrow to lose some of the inflammatory wheat/potato weight.
What I learned:
I have to remember to be good to myself, too.
With a grueling writing schedule, fall Birthdays, and local engagements, it’s so easy for me to forget to breathe. I fall into the trap of trying to do too much all of the time, and as a result, something will fail–and it’s usually my diet.
Having hit a massive, chaotic deadline, I am taking today to play in the kitchen, walk at my treadmill desk and answer emails, comments and letters I receive from you.
Who knows; I might also throw caution to the wind and read the neglected Fables graphic novel I’d been longing to get my hands on.
Love the idea of cauli tots. Those will be on my list to make, when I’m back on my feet. I’m having a temporary set back with six weeks in a wheelchair after an accident. I can’t cook at all. It’s a real challenge, since DH is not a fan of either fruit or vegetables. His kitchen repertoire is 100% carb. Thankfully, the pain meds have dulled my appetite so having less to eat isn’t such a big deal. But I want a big plate of cauli tots right now!!!!!
Ouch, Jill. I am so sorry to hear you hurt yourself. That’s so something I would do. Are we related?
I would make you tots if you lived closer… Feel better soon.
Excuse me, even if you are full from last night…..I believe it is still not good to skip a meal!
I can speak from experience….I WAS the queen of skipping meals! I have learned through you, sweet Jamie, that skipping is a no, no…..unless it is exercise/skipping!
Since June, I have tried my best not to miss one at all….and now I am hungry at 9 p.m. (yuck!…I hate it…so late!)
Smetimes I grab a piece of cheese….or a couple of hot dogs with just ketchup. If I don’t then I awake at 4 a.m. starving! Now where is that going to get us?
Having said all that….I guess your family party last night was great! I have not made it out yet to buy eggs….so lunch was an onion, cauliflower and bacon stir fry! Just delicious!
Ok….it is time to contemplate purchasing a treadmill desk of your own! Yes, war is looming on the horizon! Go and win!
Regards,
Glad
I love your for scolding me, but I hate eaten literally at 9:30 that night, so not only was it a big meal, it was a ridiculously late meal. The entire platter probably had 1200 calories in it. There was no way I could hork down a breakfast so soon afterwards.
We never got to have a part, unfortunately–deadlines! I worked into the night and the next morning.
No, Jamie, I was not scolding you….I was shocked that you didn’t even have a little….something, something!
Even when I am dead tired….I will still whip up a whey protein shake! Late at night!
By eating we are growing smaller and healthier!
Thanks,
Glad

You truly are inspirational! The mere fact that you can still make me laugh, after you have busted your butt (and brain) all day …. Well, it gives me hope :). Keep on keepin’ on, Sister!
Thanks so much for being a happy vibe in my morning, Deb! By the end of the day I am so tired I don’t want to do anything. I can be so lazy!
I just saw on woot.com that they have the 16oz bacon salt for $10!!! Thought I would spread the love!!!
it’s listed under home woot
Nice! That’s a lot of bacon salt. I am thinking a zombie apocalypse wouldn’t be able to undo that much goodness. Thanks, Anna.
