Happy New Week, with so many new possibilities.
How are you doing? Did you make it through the weekend unscathed Only partially scathed? Were you totally, heinously scathed? Remember, every minute is another minute to make new, better choices, so make it yours!
Today I’m working out another fun recipe iteration I hope you’ll enjoy! I am really excited about this because I am such a picky eater, so it makes me happy when I not only love something enough to share it, but when you say your picky eaters love it, too!
I did hurt my back, so this will be short. I’m so sorry! I even skipped TOPS today because there’s no way I could have made it through the meeting.
Now on to how I’ve been doing with my weight loss and continued sussing out of foods to which I’m intolerant or allergic to… Be sure to do your thing. I am thrilled share my progress and thoughts, but I’m not the person you should necessarily look to for dieting advice (I’m not a paid nosh-a-titian). I ate this:
Breakfast: Nothing. I have a TOPS weigh in today, and I eat after that.
Lunch: Triscuits and sour cream. No, I know that was not a good choice
Dinner: Taco Star Nachos with the chips, which I know was a great choice
Notes: I tossed the Triscuits! No more temptation.
What I learned:
I was so bad! I did well but then I ruined it by eating Triscuits. I don’t do well with wheat and it knocked me out for the next few hours. I am not going to deal with a hurt back with eating gluten.
Why did I do that? Blurg.
Aww, I’m sorry you have a hurt back, plus the Triscuit Incident on top of that. Hoping you feel better soon!
Glad you through out the Triscuits, best solution, wish I could do that too with some of my problem foods but I’m not the only one in the house. I made it through the week-end relatively unscathed. Biggest issue was alcohol, meant to have a couple and ended up having more than that. But food was good, still keeping up my fat, around 60%. Scary, scary stuff. Been doing this two weeks now and hoping to see a drop on the scale when I weigh tomorrow. I am trying to watch calories too and not get above 1,400. Fingers crossed I will see a drop, need the encouragement. Hope your back issues resolve themselves soon. That so sucks.
So sorry you got glutened. It totally sucks! Next time reach for blue diamond nut crackers or chips, they are high carb, but gluten free. Or are you allergic to nuts? Yesterday I went a little snack happy and ate gummy bears and garlic olives for lunch. My tummy was not happy about that choice, as they don’t really go together.
Isabel, don’t worry too much about your calories. When you eat fat, you actually end up eating less because you are full longer. I know, I have been there. Just keep up the great journey you are on and take each day as it comes. The weight will fall off.
bummer about your back 🙁 hope you feel better soon! I have been eating almost nothing as I have been ill since the weekend, sore throat, BAD cough, fever, the whole shebang … So, I have been getting more carbs in than I want by way of lozenges and sirups trying to sooth my raw throat but aside from that I think I’m doing fine. As usual, slow….but fine 🙂
I hope you feel better! I took pain medications yesterday and zonked at about 4pm and didn’t wake up until this morning. I’m going to try and move more today and see if that helps. I think sitting still too long didn’t help. And it makes me thankful I’m losing weight, too.
Feel better!
