Greetings and sexy eating, honeys! I am in the throes of blog reorganization and have 300ish recipes to relink, so as you can guess, I’m going to be underground for the next few days to bring the magic.
Let me know what you’d like to see on the new site, and know that I more ears than Mike Tyson’s mouth after he chewed on Holyfield. I’ve already changed the comment font color per request thanks to the hotties who designed this template (I love you, template), and I working to make this the most amazing, useful site in the Universe. You deserve as much; your parole officer told me so.
In the meantime, if you keep sugar free syrup and flax on hand, give this treat a try. This recipe is gluten free, sugar free and fine for Atkins Induction.
Strawberry Flax Cracker and Spread
The cracker:
2 Tbsp flax seed meal
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp Davinci’s sugar free syrup
1. Mix ingredients in small bowl with a fork.
2. Allow to sit for 2 minutes. Contents will thicken.
3. Spread with the fork onto a piece of parchment paper and microwave for 2.5 minutes. Let cool.
The spread:
1 ounce cream cheese
1 Tsp Davinci’s sugar free syrup
1. In a separate bowl, heat 1 ounce of cream cheese for 20 seconds.
2. Add DaVinci’s syrup and mix.
3. Spread on cracker.
This looks so delish, can’t wait to try it! And microwavable flax snax, you can’t beat that!
Flax snacks aren’t whack! I love how freaking easy this snack is.
tremendous issues here. I?
Hi, Vivian! I think somehow your whole comment didn’t make it through.
Where do the strawberries come in?
It’s the flavoring here and not real strawberries. It’s like making lemon cookies with an extract. Speaking of… I made some of those this week…
What a delightful little crispy joy this very easy recipe produced!!
Thank you, Jamie!!!
Have you tried it with other flavors of sugar free syrup? I have the s/f vanilla that I use in my coffee, I wander how that would be? Thank you for all the wonderful recipes, I just found your site and have been on here for the last 2 hours just oohhing and aawwing over your pictures! We have just started the induction phase so its nice to see so many ways to be able to eat my favorite foods.
Once again, thank you and keep up the awesome work. I will always be glad to be a taste taster!
Rebecca– Welcome to the site! I am so so happy you are looking around! I’ve been working all week to thoroughly categorize the recipes. I have made this before also with the hazelnut syrup in the cracker. I have watermelon that I think would also make a super fun flavor for cream cheese! I thunk any flavor would be pretty wonderful. The doubling up of the flavor in the cracker and the spread is a lot of fun or you could even combine flavors; one for the spread and a complementary one for the cracker.
whats the crab count. the calories and all the other good stuff.
Hi there! I’d figure a carb for the cracker and then a carb for every ounce of cream cheese you use to spread. so maybe 2 carbs?
what flavor syrups are you using for the crackers and the spread (strawberry for the spread?)
Hi there! I used strawberry for both, but you could use any flavor–or even two complementary flavors!
Hey Jamie! First of all your site rocks! Quick question, is there a replacement for the syrup if you want to make a savory version?
Hi, Maggie! I would go with just water for the savory version. Maybe add a couple of spices if you feel like it.
