Wrinkles. Everyone has them or will get them eventually. They are not necessarily a bad thing, they do add character and a more distinguished look. Just like with anything else, too much of anything is not always a good thing. Plus we need to keep our skin healthy just as we are all on a journey to make our bodies healthy too! Here are a few tips that help shine up the already gorgeous you!
1. Smile, don’t frown
It takes 43 muscles to frown but only 17 to smile. You get the point.
2. Stop rubbing your eyes
We all rub our eyes now and then, but continued rubbing will break down the delicate tissue around your eyes, leading to irreversible loose skin. Eye rubbing creates fine lines and wrinkles.
3. Put your shades on
What do you do when you’re out in the sun without your sun glasses? That’s right, you squint! Squinting deepens the lines around your eyes and makes you seem older as a result.
4. Wear your sunscreen
Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light UVA or UVB from sunlight accounts for 90 per cent of the symptoms of prematurely aging skin. In addition to aging, UV rays is also a major contributor to skin cancer. It is important to wear sunscreen every day to protect your skin.
5. Facials
You can get them done or just as easily do them yourself. It is important to gently scrub away dead and dry skin and keep those pores clean. Be sure to slap on some moisturizer and sunblock on when you are done!
The best tip I have is eat coconut oil and fresh coconut flesh.
At 75 I am amazed by the way my skin is recovering a younger feel. Actually my husband was the first to notice.
Another thing that amazes me is that I have had weight loss of 70 pounds over 18 months and no deflated balloon look on my belly. I have never lost this much weight on previous attempts and yet there was this awful deflated balloon look. I’m not sure whether this id due to eliminating wheat or because I have been consuming more fats.
This is off the wrinkle topic, but another thing is that I do not feel cold ….. a cold that would feel as though it was deep inside me and could only be relieved by a soak in a warm bath.
Back on wrinkles ….. I do see wrinkles n my arms, not pretty but I think I will call them battle wounds.
Find ways to consume coconut oil. It’s a wonderful addition.
Blessings
Thank you for the wonderful tips! Congrats on the weight loss too!!
